2007 Activities

The following are a few activities in which the group plans to be involved in 2007. As is often the case with planning, the list may change over the course of the year, with new items added and some revised. The group is flexible and will no doubt adapt to suit the needs which may arise on Woolwich trails. Several of the activities are continuing tasks from 2006.

Explore new trail possibilities: The group is looking to direct their attention to new trail development possibilities in areas of the township where there is an obvious lack of trails or where links to other communities would be beneficial.

Work parties: The group is committed to the maintenance and development of trails and has arranged some very successful work parties. The group will direct its energies where needed.

Donation boxes: The group is most grateful for donations received at the two boxes in St. Jacobs. Volunteers will continue to collect from the boxes in 2006.

Trail membership: The membership committee is gearing up for its 6th year of the membership program.

Sunday family hikes: Our hike leaders are ready for another year of hiking! All are welcome to join the group. Please see the special hikes listed in April for Healthy Communities Month.
Guidebook to Woolwich Trails: The fifth edition of the Guidebook will continue to be available for purchase.
3rd Annual School Hike Day: The group plans to work with staff and students at St. Jacobs Public School to host the 2nd annual school hike day. The group also plans to invite a second school to start an annual hike day.
