Woolwich Boasts Many Strong Businesses

Having observed farming communities in other countries and other parts of Ontario, my husband, John, and I feel fortunate that we have good productive land, dedicated farmers, and resources to draw on such as equipment dealerships, repair facilities, livestock trucking firms, fertilizer companies, feed mills, on-farm manufacturing shops, local stockyards, Home Hardware etc. Loyalty of businesses, personalized service and support staff combine to make our neighbourhood an enviable farming community.

In addition to farming, we’ve run a Bed and Breakfast from our home for 14 years. We remember the many interesting people from all over the world who have passed through our doors. We sit together with our guests in the evenings over tea and cookies as we enjoy getting to know them and have great discussions. They love to visit our area for our variety of shopping opportunities, friendly people and beautiful countryside.

We need each other and it is important to support each other as various needs arise. We need to support our local businesses to aid our local economy. We need to continue to show appreciation and to give encouragement to one another. We have deep roots and strong traditions of our past that will well prepare us to meet the challenges of the future.

Pat Weber, Conestogo
