Did You Know?
The fourteen service clubs operating in Woolwich have over 1,200 members and contribute approximately $350,000 back into community facilities and activites each year. These volunteers provide a vital service to our community, funding and maintaining amenities that would not otherwise exist.

After much effort by local citizens, Maryhill will oficially open a new village park in 1999.

Woolwich Community Services initiated both the Care-Ring program, in which volunteers drive people to medical appointments, and the Single Parent Relief program, in which volunteers are matched with families to provide eight hours of child-care each month.

Woolwich has six trails for hiking and biking, and a new railway trail is under development between West Montrose and Elmira.

An Elmira Mayple Syrup Festival Day, about 2,000 volunteers help to raise $30,000-$40,000 for Elmira Association for Community Living, Woolwich Community Services and other community organizations. This does not include money raised and work contributed by other service clubs.
