About Woolwich
Healthy Communities
Woolwich Healthy Communities is a not-for-profit
rural community initiative which works to improve our environment,
economy and society. The initiative involves citizens from all walks of
life in the Township of Woolwich in South-Western Ontario, Canada.
The members of Woolwich Healthy Communities worked together to come up
with a set of nine
Guiding Principles designed to aid in making decisions that will affect
the community.
These principles are:
- Build
A Feeling of Community
- Promote
a Strong Voice for All Residents
- Support
Farming
- Support
Local Business
- Treat
Waste as a Resource
- Improve
the Quality of the Environment
- Provide
for People's Basic Needs
- Honour
the Past; Safeguard the Future

details about these principles, click here.
The Woolwich Healthy Communities Coordinating
Committee supports the activities of the 3 working groups:
- Clean
Waterways Group
- Township
of Woolwich Environmental Enhancement Committee (TWEEC)
- Woolwich
Trails Group
